Facebook are clearly abusing their own rules. I’ll explain you how and why.
It’s Christmas today, so I had this great idea to get personal with all my friends on Facebook to wish them a Merry Christmas. So I just started to wall all my friends on there with a Merry Christmas message.
After no received warning, I had to log in again, which didn’t work cause it stated:
“Account disabled,
Your account has been disabled by an administrator, If you have questions you can always visit our FAQ page.”
When I re-read the terms of use page, I read that all things I could possibly get disabled for, weren’t legitimate to my so called abuse.
The only thing they could have disabled me for would be “spamming”, but hey, isn’t spamming only related to “multiple sessions of posting commercial related stuff”? Then another thing that comes close is “harassment of users”, but hey, nobody complained since they all wished me a Merry Christmas back???
I hereby conclude that Facebook broke their own terms of use.
They also fucked up my promise to everyone, to have send them my best wishes for Christmas.
Right now I feel extremely hateful against Facebook, a website that I adore a lot. I will also take juridical steps against Facebook.
