Michael Jackson no more :(

michaeljackson

Today, Michael Jackson the king of Pop, has left us forgood and departed to gateways of heaven. There are not enough words to describe, how hard it is on us, fans. Yet I can’t imagine how hard it must be for his kids and family, we all know they adored him in every way, flaws or exellence. It’s sadens me even more to think of the fact that he left life without having his beloved ones around him :-(

Seriously I like have no more words to write cause I’m overwhelmed with emotions and sadness that he is no longer here. I hope he will be reunited in heaven and has the rest and happiness that he always deserved.

Michael, You might be gone, but you will never be forgotten.

Day 8; Jankovic finally out 3-6 2-6

Jelena Jankovic lost to Tamarine Tanasugarn 6-3 6-2. This loss opens up an all Williams-Final.

Jelena Jankovic, made with her exit, the worst Wimbledon in recent history. It was quite a while ago that the top 3 seeds didn’t at least reach the QF at Wimbledon.

Maybe she should have made more thoughts about her game, than her injuries. Lately she’s getting 3 different injuries a match. She needs to play less, if she wants to play a few more years, if she doesn’t, I see her getting many chronic injuries and forcing her to retire early.

Anyway, Tamarine Tanasugarn is quite a revelation on grass this year, before entering Wimbledon, she had already established a 11-2 record on grass so far. Right now, she has won 11 consecutive matches on grass. Bringing the total to a 15-2 ytd grass record.

Next she will face Venus Williams.

Day 6; Venus Williams eases through 6-1 7-5

Venus Williams, came into the match, knowing that she had to play a higher level, because Maria Jose Martinez Sanchez, took a set in their previous encounter.

In the second set she gained a 3-1 lead, but Maria Jose Martinez Sanchez fought back to obtain a 5-4 lead. Venus Williams was impressed, but not too impressed, to take the next 3 games, and ending the match. Venus Williams moved onto the second week and fourth round, by a 6-1 7-5 win in 1h10.

Day 5; Biggest upset so far

1st seed, and recent Roland Garros champion, Ana Ivanovic, was thrown out by Jie Zheng in 2 short sets, 6-1 6-4 in 1h10.

This loss was a logical ten-dense for Ana Ivanovic, by barely scrapping through in the previous round against Nathalie Dechy.

Whether it’s because the wind, low level, you were warned the previous match that you needed to work out harder for the next match, because the ball can’t always fall in your preference.

More details to follow later.

Day 5; Serena Williams blasts Mauresmo out 7-6 6-1

Serena Williams, started the match well by leading winning 8 of the 9 first points. She obtained a 3-0 lead a few minutes later.

Amelie Mauresmo, finally started to some things right, by breaking back and holding serve to decrease the lead to 3-2. Next after a few games, she was able to level the math at 6-games-all.

A tiebreak, with many exciting net points, concluded Serena Williams as the winner, 7-5.

In the second set, Serena Williams was playing better and making less errors, Amelie Mauresmo, got some treatment on her thigh, but It couldn’t help much. Serena Williams increased her lead to 5-0.

Day 5; Bolelli falls 1-6 3-6 6-7

My favorite player in the main gentleman’s draw, Simone Bolelli, lost today to Lleyton Hewitt in the third round of the men’s side at Wimbledon.

Simone Bolelli, a player with much talent. He started the match slow, not finding any rhythm, he lost the 1st by 6-1.

Next he started playing a bit better, hitting more serves in, winning a few more points. Even that wasn’t enough, he was broken, and lost the 2nd set by 6-3.

In the third set it looked bad too, but he managed to get a tiebreaker, which he lost too. Ended the match with a 1-6 3-6 6-7 loss in 2h04.

Even though I’m sad that Bolelli lost, to a player, he could have beaten, I still feel positive. He has improved his Wimbledon and grass records, plus he defeated the 14th player of the world, Fernando Gonzalez.

Now he needs to forget this loss and get used to the hard-courts, and perform well at the US Open and Olympics.

Simo hold on, you’re gonna make it !

Day 5; Matches I look out for III

2nd Match, Centre Court, Friday 27th of June

 VS

9         -         2

The 6th seed, Serena Williams, will face 29th seeded, Amelie Mauresmo, in her 3rd round at Wimbledon. Serena Williams leads the head to head, and has defeated Amelie Mauresmo 2 times at Wimbledon in the past. We know that Amelie Mauresmo, has an hip injury, that she needed to withdrew from doubles, whether it’s a hoax or prevention, we’ll find out tomorrow. Either way, this in a blockbuster between former winners, Serena Williams, being the multiple former winner. It will be a tight 2 sets win, in favor for Serena Williams.

C’mon Rena !

1st Match, Court 1, Friday 27th of June

  VS

0         -         1

My favorite player on the men’s side, Simone Bolelli of Italy, will face the 20th seeded Australian, Lleyton Hewitt. Simone Bolelli has confidence, because he’s in his first 3rd round at Wimbledon ever. He also just defeated the 14th ranked player in the world, Fernando Gonzalez. If he can play the way he played to Gonzalez, and keep the errors low, he can drive the Australian crazy. Being the underdog or the favorite, it doesn’t matter. If Simone Bolelli can keep his head cool, produce less errors and keeps playing aggressive, he has a chance to beat Lleyton Hewitt. Let’s take revenge for your loss last year caused by Lleyton.

Forza Simo !
