The Williams sisters got safely through to the quarters of the Olympics Tennis Doubles Event. Luckily, Now I have something left to watch at, or the Beijing 2008 Olympics would be even worse than the Athens 2004.
Both having lost in the quarters of the single’s event, didn’t seem to be bothered much, and just went straight onto the doubles, to win the first set by 75. In the second set, they pushed and sealed the higher pace-tempo and won it with 62.
S. Williams/V. Williams d. A. Morita/A. Sugiyama 75 62 in 1h13. Stats are here.
Next they will be facing a Russian Roulette, lol, Vera Zvonareva/Elena Vesnina. The match will be played last on Show Court 2, probably within the next 30 minutes.
C’mon Team Williams !

Venus and Serena Williams, took everything at the women’s side, by also winning the Doubles Crown by defeating Lisa Raymond/Samantha Stosur 6-2 6-2 in less than 1 hour =)
To all the critics about the Williams’ Sisters, and all Belgians or haters, the Williams sisters are great champions, the best of the last generation, and aren’t quiters like Justine Henin. So please stop bullshiting around, because you all are losers, Including the Belgian arrogant newspapers.
CASE CLOSED.

The 11th seeded pair, Venus and Serena Williams won the first set at ease, by 6-0 in 20 minutes, partially caused by flawless serving and aggressive net play.
In the second set, they were trailling 3-4, to win the set and the match, by defeating Agnieszka Radwanska and Marta Domachowska by 6-0 6-4 in 56 minutes.
Next, in their 3rd Round, they will most probably face the 5th seeded Anabel Medina Garrigues/Virginia Ruano Pascual.
